Laurie graduated from The Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden and has since had an extensive professional career dancing with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium – where he was promoted to Soloist dancer. His career as lead him to dance roles such as: Lensky in John Cranko’s Onegin, Dominique in Pina Bausch’s Café Müller, Faun in Vaslav Nijinsky’s L’apres midi d’un Faune and The Table in Maurice Béjart’s Bolero. Laurie is now a freelance dancer, choreographer and ballet coach based in London. He is also the co-founder of the popular website: www.balletfriends.co.uk– connecting a global audience of dance enthusiasts via a dynamic platform.
